What this site is
Term Dates API provides independent information, tools and data. Figures are researched, sourced inline, and dated; tools show their assumptions. Term Dates API is an independent site operated by Ellul Solutions Ltd. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Department for Education, the Department of Education in Northern Ireland, any local authority, any school or any government body. It does not operate a term dates feed and is not selling one: the finding this site publishes is that no national UK school term dates API exists, and the statutory reason for that. Every statement about who sets term dates is quoted from the Education Act 2002 on legislation.gov.uk, and every statement about coverage from the gov.uk service itself, both read on the date shown at the top of this page. We publish no coverage percentage for any source, because nobody publishes one that can be checked. For any individual school, that school's own calendar is the authority, and it is the only place inset days appear.
What this site is not
Nothing here is financial, legal, tax, medical or other regulated advice, and no tool output is a quote, an offer, or a recommendation to act. Results are estimates from the stated assumptions; confirm anything that matters with a qualified, authorised professional before acting. Where we introduce you to a provider, we act as an introducer only: we do not advise on, arrange, or recommend between providers, and we never handle client money.

We work to keep every figure current (each table shows its last-updated date) but make no warranty that content is error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Ellul Solutions Ltd accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on this site. Links to external sites are provided for sourcing; we are not responsible for their content.

You may cite this site's data with attribution (a link to the page cited) and may use the embeddable widget where offered, unmodified. Scraping that removes attribution, or republishing tables wholesale without a link, is not permitted.
